Home Alone in Concert

Film Concerts PH presents its first holiday film concert, Home Alone in Concert, at The Theatre at Solaire on December 19 and 20, 2026. Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the beloved Christmas classic, the production features John Williamsโ€™ Academy Awardยฎ-nominated score performed live to picture by the 85 member Filharmonika Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Gerard Salonga, together with the 48-member Philippine Madrigal Singers.

A true holiday favorite, Home Alone remains one of the most cherished Christmas films of all time and the second highest-grossing Christmas film in history. Written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus, the 1990 comedy stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old boy who is accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation and must defend his home against two bungling thieves.

The concert features some of the filmโ€™s most beloved musical moments, including โ€œSomewhere in My Memory,โ€ โ€œStar of Bethlehem,โ€ โ€œO Holy Night,โ€ and โ€œCarol of the Bells,โ€ performed live as the film unfolds on the big screen.

Home Alone received two Academy Awardยฎ nominations for Best Original Score and Best Original Song (โ€œSomewhere in My Memoryโ€), as well as a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture โ€“ Comedy or Musical, cementing its place as one of the most enduring holiday classics ever made.
